Original artwork description:

A semi abstract seascape based on the harbour at St Ives.

There's a special quality to the light in Cornwall that add a depth of light, shade and colour to every scene. I was fascinated both by the light and also by the shapes of the boats in the harbout. I also played about with the perspective, simplifying the scene and flattening the perspecive, tilting the scene towards the viewer.

This painting is framed in an informal rustic wood frame.
