On Old Compton Street I stand and I pause, aromas of coffee, cardamom and spice. Red and orange brick, infused with a century of London soot. A buzz. The joy of shopping, pausing, browsing, strolling. The work depicts a row of shops in Soho and is rich in detail, colorful and cheerful, a wonderful addition to any collection of British art. Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished
