Original artwork description:

This painting is from the imagination using textures and painterly brushstrokes which leave the eye to fill in the detail of the distant hills whereas the foreground foliage is impressionistic in textured painterly effects.

I was inspired to paint this after seeing a view from my car and the rest was achieved by Ipad paintings from memory and then progressed from there.

The aim was to create a feeling of the fresh Spring countryside with colour. The space and distance and size of the painting transports the viewer into a different environment so you can experience the open landscape in the comfort of your home .
