Original artwork description:

The second floral still life from a series I painted while on holiday in the south of France earlier this year. A sprig or two of an early flowering bush I picked while out for a walk, arranged in a simple glass jar and placed on a stone window ledge.

A subtle colour combination of warm pinks and ochres inside contrast with the cooler greens outside. A calm and beautiful image for any room.

It is painted from life with a combination of charcoal from the drawing and Golden open acrylic.

Materials used:

Golden Open acrylic paint and charcoal on Clairefontaine heavy special acrylic paper
