Original artwork description:

This painting is the result of a life painting session at the Spring salon at Gunnebo Castle, a real oasis of natural beauty, outside Gothenburg city.

As such, floral paintings have a long tradition in art history and the arrangement was inspired by the XVII-th century paintings with the major difference that only local and in-the-season flowers were use. The cycle is fully completed: a floral arrangement inspired by art and a life painting inspired by the floral arrangement.
