A black and white statement piece highlighting the beauty of the outgoing tide on the silver sands of Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris.
Themes : Minimalism, black and white photography, statement art, Isle of Harris
Colours: Black, white, grey, pale grey
Spring at Luskentyre Bay
A beautifully minimal scene at Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris that is striking and dramatic. The soft curve of the outgoing tide as it sweeps down to the sea was dark, almost blue black in the colours of the peat that underlies the surrounding hills.
This large sized image is suitable for dry mounting and float framing with the front surface of the Baryta paper left uncovered. The quality of the paper allows you to leave it without glass.
Printed at large size on the latest high quality Baryta Prestige paper from Canson where they have been making papers since the 16th century. This paper has a stiffness that makes it easy to handle and delivers exceptional contrast and detail. It produces black and white images with unsurpassed depth and clarity reminiscent of traditional fibre-based darkroom papers. It has a fine satin finish.
About framing - most clients would have this type of large image dry mounted onto a ridged substrate and then float mounted. The Baryta Paper is suitable to be left without glass on top.
