Oil Painting taken from an Easter Walk on the canal towpath. This beautiful young swan followed me for a while and the late afternoon light was spectacular. I created a piece in Pastel for this first and it went so well I felt it needed to be in oils, which I love as a medium. Very happy with this piece. Holds all the same magic light as the first, possibly even better. I used a medium poured at the bottom to make the water even better. So some nice glazed effect at the bottom.

The edges are painted in a pleasing light dusky blue.
