Original artwork description:

Painted on-site on Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis. Features a crabapple tree in full spring bloom in shades of pale pink/white, lavender-pink, and deep pink. Beneath the large tree there is a smaller blossoming tree in mauve-pink at the right, and a lilac bush with purple blossoms at the left. Watery and dripping effects in the sky were created with casein paint and glazed over with oil. The blossoms are richly textured with layers of paint thickly applied with palette knife. The canvas is stretched on 1" thick stretcher bars with painted sides in a "gallery wrap" style that is ready to hang. A scene that invites the viewer to rest within its tranquil beauty.
