Muscari armeniacum, commonly called grape hyacinth, is an early spring-blooming bulbous perennial that is native to southeastern Europe.
Muscaries emerge from the ground in early spring and are soon followed by the tender blue and purple-blue flowers.

This work is painted in traditional botanical style and was exhibited at 21st Annual Botanical Art Exhibition at Filoli Botanical Garden, USA "Bulbs: Preparing for Spring", 2019
