"Garden at Houghton Hall" is an oil painting on canvas panel by Mary Kemp.
It measures 50 x 40 cm (24 x 16 inches)
Last spring, just as the bluebells were coming into flower and the last of the daffodils were fading we visited Houghton Hall in Norfolk. I'm a sucker for a well tended garden and we spent quite a long time there. I drew a bit and took some photos and later on painted this , and it makes me smile just looking at it.
Painted in a loose impressionist style using lots of paint.
