Original artwork description:

I love peonies and here I have used white and pale pink ones along with aquilegea and clematis. For foliage there is also some pittosporum. I have used a canvas shape that I usually use for long landscapes (particularly beaches) but in the portrait format. I actually did this because I had run out of squarer canvases but is always challenging and exciting to use a new shape and I am pleased with the result. This painting is currently on exhibition so I don't have a photo of it in its canvas but it is framed in a lovely simple off-white hover frame.

Materials used:

Oil on linen canvas
