I take much of my inspiration from floral and leafy subjects, and often embellish an otherwise fairly restrained still life scene with patterns and colours which are entirely my own.
This is a picture containing an abundance of pattern and colour, including a background with tiny flowers which echo the main subject.
I often use really bright, almost clashing colours, but I chose a cooler, more restrained palette for this piece, which gives it a calm and fresh feel.
This is an acrylic painting on box canvas which measures 40cm x 40cm.
It is unframed, and can be displayed as it is, using the wooden frame to hang it directly, or you could add a wire. Alternatively this painting could be framed before displaying on your wall.
