This is a floral painting inspired by the photorealist paintings of Gerhard Richter. The yellow flowers pop against the blue background, which itself takes on slightly differing tones depending on the light. The main gallery photo is taken in daylight and the studio image indoors. The overall blurred effect of the bloom gives the piece an unworldly sense of realism.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness. The painting is on professional quality fine grain stretched canvas by Belle Arti. It is signed on the reverse, and measures 40 cm H by 40 cm W.
