There's a magical time in Spring when the tree canopies emerge with lush fresh growth and the light is bright and clear as the sun moves north. This view down a small lane near Newburgh captures the essence of this time of the year. Imagine yourself wandering down this lane accompanied by bird song, the warmth of the spring sunshine and the uplifting optimistic feeling this season brings.

I used a warm magenta underpainting which helps to contrast and compliment the greens in the tree canopy where it is visible in small areas - you can see this in the process images.
