Spring Awakening is another painting with pollared Willows. In the last year of Van Goghs life he painted several painting with Willows. He almost gave them human Dimension. There is something very intriguing about pollarded willows that I am atracted to, something stark and sinister in truncated trees as their spiky branches appear to form a grill.

I tried to bring you the great atmosphere of one of the first days of spring with the nature shapping the colors around us...The sun came up , peeking through the slightly hazy morning fog, casting a vibrant glow across the Trees. I use these impressionistic movements with my palette knifes and exploratory colors to try to re-capture the sense of adventure and discovery ..

THE STUNNING, UNIQUE EFFECTS AND WONDERFUL COLORS CANNOT BE ADEQUATELY CAPTURED IN PHOTOS. The visual quality of this painting is stunning in both indoor and natural light.


NOTE For all the collectors OUTSIDE EUROPE - Becouse of the limitation of Austrian Post I'll have to send the painting rolled in a Tube . You can strech it in any frame shop. If you like to strech yourself I'll send the wooden bars and sheet how to DYS.
