This spontaneously painted impression of white blossoms against a dark sky is one of two paintings of the mirabelle tree that grew by itself in my garden and surprised us one year by suddenly blossoming. While the other painting (incidentally my first-ever sold on ArtFinder) is a small study of the individual blooms on a few branches, this much larger painting (70x70cm) is a much more impressionistic version that conveys feeling rather than botanical accuracy. A celebration of Spring!
