Watercolour painting of a boy jumping into water. Children are my favourite subjects to paint, I love to portrait them in their imaginary dreamworlds. A child sees what it sees, they create their surroundings in their imaginations and their fantasy worlds to them are as real as the air we breath. I've chosen to use one single colour for this painting (and the others from this collection), as it allows the viewer to focus on the feeling of the moment, without being distracted by colour details. A child's innocence is a joy to paint and their genuineness is what makes them such captivating subjects.
