My homeland, Hungary, is a lowland country in a temperate climate zone, so it does not freeze too much in the winter and snow falls only occasionally, and only a little. So there are not many opportunities to actively engage in winter sports.
Perhaps I appreciate the moments when I can go on a winter trip to countries where I can enjoy skiing or ice skating for at least a few days. I like both, I am especially fascinated by the speed, dynamics and prompt reactions that these sports require.
Whether I managed to capture these attributes in this sculpture is up to you to judge.
