An ancient cathedral in Chernigov, a functioning temple-museum. The oldest surviving monument of ancient Russian architecture. The construction of the cathedral began under Prince Mstislav, presumably in the early 1030s. I painted this landscape in the open air. This historical part of Chernigov is called Val. Sunny day with bright colors. The whitewashed walls of the cathedral shone in the sun. The etude is painted in the impressionist style.
