The Yorkshire Dales hillside is depicted with subtle variations of greens, reds and blues standing above the vibrant valley containing wild flowers, stone walls and barns.
In early summer the top end of Swaledale in Yorkshire is a special place as the rounded hills look down on the meadows which are ablaze with wild flowers. As ever, the shape of the hills with the shadows of clouds moving across appealed, as did the brightness of the fields in the valley floor with a scattering of barns. It seemed to me that the landscape just shone, hence the title.
I pride myself in giving a good service to purchasers as I want them to enjoy the picture and to be assured that it will arrive in top condition. All paintings are wrapped and boxed in heavy duty, double walled corrugated board.
