Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by the beautiful views of the Spanish Bay along the California coast, and the mystery of a winding path leading to a small white house on the beach.

This is a gouache painting on 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper on 6"x6"x0.2" Sintra panel. Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium.

The painting is unframed and will require a frame to hang on the wall. It is varnished and can be framed without glass. It will easily fit in a standard (US) 6"x6" frame. Images showing the artwork framed in home interiors are for presentation only. Frame is not included.
