This is my latest canine portrait of a handsome chocolate labrador(08/10/2022), enjoying an afternoon by the river. Hence why he's wet having had a cooling swim to escape the blistering heat. Perfecting the illusion of wet fur was a challenge, along with the many textures in his coat.
This is the biggest pet portrait I've ever painted, measuring 36" x 28" in acrylic on canvas.
I hope this portrait also brings back souvenirs for you,of happy Summer days with your pets.
