Sorrow 4-14-22 is exploring ideas of fiction & reality and an interpretation of Michelangelo's Pietà. The piece is large-scale double figures on canvas in oils using a muted palette contrasting with areas of vibrant colour. The work is painted with a fluid application of paint, staining, and stripping back to allow areas of raw canvas to be visible. The work is a continuation in his interest in the notion of change and impermanence as forms begin to overlap and dissolve into each other.
Artwork signed on the back and includes a certificate of authenticity.
Artwork shipped using DHL including a tracking number. Rolled in a tube. The customer will receive the work within 3-4 days after dispatch.
