Within this painting the subject has a sad exoression, the cooler colour palette enhance the sombre mood, in contrast the brighter hues and palette worked paint create tension and dynamism in the scene.

Each painting begins as a black and white image, once I'm satisfied with the composition and form I layer colours and textures until I'm satisfied with the final image.
