SONORA is the name of the witchcraft market in the heart of Mexico City. The design incorporates the themes of beauty, nature, decay and death.
Four lino plates were carved in the process.
The impressions were printed wet on wet, in four shades of green. As the inks built up, the final dark colour sat on top of the previous layers to create a beautiful antique, mottled effect.
