This work explores the emotion of needing to sleep, the desire to rest and close one eyes is as strong as the desire to eat but the emotions are different. The Somnolence emotions are peaceful, and retiring and indifferent to the world. It is an exploration of abstractionism and painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

This work is painted on 12 oz gallery canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is hand stretched onto a frame is 110 cm in width by 215 cm in height. However, due to the very large size of this work the canvas has BEEN REMOVED FROM THE STRETCHER and once acquired you will need to REMOUNT IT. Your local framing shop will be able to do it for a reasonable fee, which would be much lower than prohibitive shipping fees. The artwork comes rolled up in a PVC tube. So FREE SHIPPING is provided to assist.
