Original artwork description:

I'm an early riser so I have the opportunity to see a lot of sunrises. This one caught my eye as I passed an inlet along the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. Although I know it's terribly cliche' for a New Jerseyan to reference Bruce Springsteen, the title "Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey" seemed right. What I really liked about this was the sliver of sunlight on an otherwise dark morning. The world seemed to wake up gradually just like me.
