If you ask me what color the winter is to me, I would say purple. Very often, especially at evening hours, the air is glowing in a rose-violet-to-purple color hues. And this is making the landscape views so magical, surreal. The water surfaces are having greatest colors during winter too. They can be dark , saturated, seems like they are thinking over a serious question. I love their contrast with the snow covered ground.

This original oil painting is made on stretched cotton canvas. Size is 40x40cm. Depth 1 cm. Canvas is gallery wrapped and painted on the sides, so the painting could be hang as it is without a frame if preferred.
