This painting uses a variety of rock and soil pigments collected from the landscape with Indian Yellow pigment for the Sun. The image captures a scene seen near the Quantocks of some trees being blown by the wind whilst the Sun was rising in the distance.
The painting is created from a sketch done on site and the way it was created was in a tray of collected water with the pigments sprinkled onto the surface of the paper and the manipulation of the tray to evoke movement. This image captures the Autumnal scene I saw whilst exploring the landscape surrounding where I live.
