Artwork description:

Turner inspired seascape celebrating the colours of the sky and sea at dawn on the island of Orkney.

Standing by the edge of softly foaming waves on a deserted beach on a remote island is a treat that few can enjoy. The colours of the clouds and the reflections on the water of the rising sun, reminded me of some of my favourite Turner seascapes. Puddles and daubs of blue and grey, blush pink, soft yellow and gentle teal combine in a gentle image of calm beauty.

Taken on a small beach on the southern end of Mainland Orkney in the far north of Scotland.
