Original artwork description:

This is a lovely atmospheric piece which instils a wonderful sense of calm as you study it.
The painting was worked up from a photograph taken in quite low light conditions, whist out walking at Grizedale. Something of a mist had descended upon us, which is where the soft filtered light seems to have originated. the painting is an overpainting, the first layer being quite textured as you can see from the photographs of the piece. The canvas is deep edge and the painting extends onto the sides also.
