A lone oak tree in the midst of a sunset is the focal point in this oil painting created with soft, pastel hues. This painting is a continuation of my "Above the Horizon" series of paintings that depict the beauty of the ever changing sky. I am particularly interested in the soft colors that intertwine themselves within clouds and create patterns that drift and float and disappear like elusive phantoms.
