In this painting, I have portrayed a woman who embodies a profound sense of social isolation. The canvas reveals only a solitary tree and a field with withering flowers. I aimed to accentuate the loneliness and detachment from the world, creating the impression that the central figure is disheartened or withdrawn. For the red woman, this stage is significant — a denial of conventional values and the construction of new ones, seemingly possible within the company of others.
However, the realization of how societal values are constructed leads the red woman to the poignant understanding that it's impossible to build one's own values when they are imposed by society. "Social Isolation" is about reflecting on imposed values, where an individual retreats within oneself, seeking personal identity in the depths of the soul. The desolate landscape serves as a visual metaphor for the emotional terrain traversed in the quest for self-discovery.
The use of the color red on the woman symbolizes the emotional intensity of the internal struggle against the constraints of societal expectations.
