Original artwork description:

For part of the year, this room gets a blast of evening sun raking across the wooden floor. I set this up with a carved wooden chair - I'm told it is a genuine Chippendale - and a white shirt draped over it, the sun blasting through the cotton fabric. It throws the rest of the room into shadow, with the glow of the shirt and the illuminated floorboards in the heart of the image. This painting was made mainly from 'life' over several summer evenings, and finished from some reference photos I took when the light was at a its best.

The painting is framed with a simple, contemporary wooden moulding which is painted black. The overall dimensions including the frame are: 22" wide x 30" high x 2" deep.
