"Snowy Shelter"

Seen from the kitchen window after a night of gently falling snow. I love the way snow settles in chunks.

I've used thin transparent layers of oil paints overlaid with thick impasto brushstrokes to make the scene glow.

Everyday places are a big part of my inspiration. The changing seasons in my garden seem to have given birth to a whole series of paintings.
