Original artwork description:

I revisited the source of a small tributary of the River Calder. Snow covered the ground and there was much that had been hidden by the white blanket, but the starkness and simplicity of the black/white palette showed me what I hadn’t seen before. The source wasn’t where I thought, but higher up, the lay of the snow on the grasses showing me a faint dark trace through the peatland that I had missed before.
