Early Spring in the Lake District. Snow on the peaks and bare trees. Dry stone walls form layers in the landscape speckled with lichen and moss. This painting was created as a response to a photo I took a couple of years ago - The daffodils were actually in flower but the weather was still teetering on the divide between Winter and Spring and it certainly felt more like Winter.
The painting is in muted tones with small flashes of rose red berries.
It is supplied in a white wooden frame with acrylic glazing and is ready to hang.
acrylic and ink
