Original artwork description:

I love to see little red roof cottages and bothies and I find them particularly appealing when surrounded by snow as in this little landscape of Glen Affric in Scotland. In actual fact these attractive little buildings have tin roofs which have corroded over the years. In this painting the river is frosty at the edges and the snow has begun to melt a little allowing the natural landscape colours to shine through.
