A Scottish winter mountain and loch landscape, inspired by the winter snowstorms that blow across the tops of the hills of the highlands of Scotland.
Sneachda is Gaelic for snow or snowstorm.
In this painting I have tried to portray the atmosphere and mood of a cold grey winters day, with an approaching blizzard and the strange turquoise blue colour of the calm still waters of a west coast highland sea loch.
Painted in an impressionistic style with an atmospheric cloudy sky in blue and grey colours.
Painted in a contemporary gestural style with a palette knife and fingers.
Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
Will require a signature on delivery.
