Original artwork description:

The mighty Snake River cuts through rocky cliffs, blackened by lava flows from ancient times. It's tough, rugged country; unforgiving, but also unapologetically beautiful. Snake River rapids give way to serene waters, only to course into whitewater currents again; winding its way to join the Columbia River.
This landscape beckoned for a palette knife, which I was only too happy to apply. Painted in my impasto style, with lavish amount of paint adding texture to a craggy vista.

Materials used:

M. Graham walnut oil paints applied with palette knife
