Original artwork description:

I really love researching the lives and talent of recording artist whose time is past. There are so many interesting aspects of their lives that are unthinkable today.
This is a portrait of Smoky Babe…. Real name: Robert Brown. Smoky was born in the Mississippi Delta and was a true practitioner of early authentic African-american blues. His style is of a “sing-song” variety, familiar to any blues aficionado. Smoky was a master of the twelve string acoustic guitar. Just the titles of some of his songs are intriguing: Bad Whisky, Ain’t got no rabbit dog and Goin’ downtown boogie.
Smoky died in 1973 at the age of 46.
This is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art and no authorized copies will ever be made. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Note that colors produced digitally are not ever as vivid as the original. You can expect the colors on my paintings to be somewhat more intense than shown on these online photos.

All of my artwork is done on 4 mil thick, archival grade drafting mylar.
It is tough, waterproof, inert, flexible, dimensionally stable, and it does not have to be stretched, like canvas and watercolor paper.
Mylar is easy to mount on any type of hardboard. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell.
