Original artwork description:

Old dogs have a tail to tell, they look so wise and gentle, there's something so precious about them so I thought I'd make a series of senior hound sculptures out of my handmade paper clay. This dark grey hound with her frosted muzzle is the second member in the collection.

I think the texture my paperclay has really lends itself to the almost organic feel and essence of these sculptures. Meet Smokey she is a shy little thing but very loving and is the second member of my grey haired hound collection.

Smokey measures H10.4 x W6 x D8.4 inches has been painted with acrylic paints and sealed with glaze, her eyes and nose are bought to life with gloss garnish.

She is ready to post and to protect from scratches she is attached to a felt bottomed dark blue painted wooden base.
