Inspired by the beguiling flowers of the Smoke Tree, or Cotinus, this piece captures the blurry beauty of a Smoke Tree in bloom.

By layering bloom-like shapes in varying tones and using different materials, such as crushed baking parchment and fabric, to apply paint, there is a sense of texture and depth across the canvas.

Subtle fine lines weaving among the soft pink shapes offer the suggestion of branches, hinting at the subject matter yet leaving room for contemplation.

This piece is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue and foam board and shipped in a cardboard box within five working days.
