By building up many layers of texture and colour, using brushes and palette knives, Angelika creates a rich surface and vibrant relationships between random shapes and deliberate markings in her work. She also uses watercolour and oil pastels to heighten the impressions and create depth and movement in her paintings.

The abstract, gestural forms on the canvas have many sources of inspiration, a pink sunset, a subtle white washed image of a pale winter day or a delicate flower are examples of images which are blended together to create an abstract form of beauty.
