Small Fires No 6
When my son sent a few photos of a bonfire in his garden (too much hedge cutting) I felt a weird need to keep painting all those flames and cold over and over again.
There’s something quite primeval about a bonfire. Especially at the time of year when the days become shorter and the nights darker.
This series is my attempt to capture the mesmerising power of fire and in some way defeat the darkness.
SIZE: 12.5 x 17.5 x 1.5 cm (5” x 7”)
MATERIALS: Oil paints on stretched canvas.
READY TO HANG: Supplied unframed with finished sides. It will look good on the wall or prop it up on a shelf. Of course you can frame if you wish to match your home decor.
