Small Fires #5
When my son sent me a few photos of a bonfire in his garden (too much hedge cutting) I felt a weird need to keep painting all those flames and cold over and over again. I like the way the wind swirls and sparks fly off the flames.
There’s something quite primeval about a bonfire defying the night.
This series is my attempt to capture the mesmerising power of fire and in some way defeat the darkness.
Size:
Painting only: 5" x 7" (12.5 x 17.5 cm)
With frame: 7.5" x 9.5" (19 x 24 cm)
The frame is a rich brown wood with gold trim. If you would like it without the frame send me a message and I will deduct the cost.
SHIPPING: Orders leave my studio carefully packed with all surfaces protected.
CARE OF OIL PAINTINGS:
The good news is that oil paintings are pretty robust.
Keep away from direct sunlight and steam. Dust occasionally and your painting will last for decades.
Thanks for looking. If you have any questions please ask and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
There's something quite satisfying about a small oil painting.
To me the square ones are particularly precious and I love to hold them in my hand.
They can brighten up a small corner, make beautiful gifts and they are a wonderful way of getting into collecting original art.
