Original artwork description:

This painting is textured, intricate, and created through adding and subtracting until a pleasing whole emerged. Close examination reveals the texture and a subtle interplay of line over mass. It is an acrylic abstract painted on MDF (maximum density fiber) board. Some of the texture was made by adding polyacrylic modeling paste, then raking it with various marking tools, painting over and sanding down once hard. Besides the bright cadmium red, there's maroon, amber, cerulean and cobalt blue, lavender, white and cold. The marking vary from large areas of mass, to blocks and lines of various widths, including the blue fan-like flourish of lines in the lower right corner. This work is signed, dated, and framed (in a simple gold wooden frame), and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, acrylic medium, MDF (maximum density fiber) board
