"Slipstreamer" is an amazingly creative and spontaneous abstract, painted with acrylic on a 48 x 48 x 1.5 inch gallery-wrapped canvas, ready to hang. An exhibition favorite from the time Hunter painted it in 2021. Slipstream serves as a prime example of Hunter's fascinating Tales of Dark & Light Series -- a highly fluid, expressionistic style which so often results in arresting images with a sense of depth and sculptural form.

Conserved in Hunter’s private collection ever since, this painting digs deep as artifact, bold and elegant abstract, intriguing legend and living history. It’s a large square painting full of surprising forms and would be inviting (and impressive) anywhere you place it.
