Ready to hang if shipped within the USA or Canada, for other destinations the artwork will be rolled in canvas tube for shipping. The inspiration from this painting came from an incredible photo of the sleeping laborer taken by Claude Ranault; the deep sleep in broad daylight attested to the hard existence; the cow was photographed by another photographer friend- Nevil Zaveri - it was a challenge to match the lighting and the proportions and crate chemistry between the characters. Some parts like the dark feet of the man covered in a layer of dust were at a level of difficulty I had not encountered before. The bird which adds a surreal element helps balance the composition and adds hope to the abject situation.
