I have painted scenes from all over Scotland and beyond but this painting is very close to home - it is a winter scene in the village of Slamannan in Central Scotland where I grew up. The Church on the right of the picture was built in 1810 and is now a listed building and the building on the left, looking more like a traditional church than the church itself is the church hall.
